WHO WE ARE

Midtown Niseko is a young modern hotel, with easy access to several ski resorts. Nestled in at the edge of the forest, the large hotel complex has everything within reach including 138 rooms designed for comfort and convenience of the free-willed traveller, onsite restaurant – Midtown Diner, Fitness Centre, Laundry, Common Rooms equipped with cooking utensils, a ski locker, ample parking space, and a stylish lobby with a lounge area.

SEASONAL / PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

FRONT DESK (Winter Seasonal)

Employment Conditions

Employment period: November 2024 up to ~March 2025

Hourly wage: 1500 yen

Working hours: 8 hours a day 30-40 hours a week

Working hours: Shift system 06:00~15:00 / 7:00~16:00 / 9:00~18:00 / 13:00~22:00 / 16:00~01:00 / 22:00~07:00 (Split shift or other duty time possible)

  • Responding to questions and requests from guests during their stay
  • Room key management
  • Management of luggage and letters
  • Room inspection (confirmation of room equipment, etc.)
  • Management of same-day reservations
  • Transport of customers to Welcome Centre/Kutchan Station
  • Disinfection of common spaces
  • Room Inspection and pre-arrival check
  • Concierge functions such as suggesting activities and restaurants to guests, booking of taxi, airline, hotels for guests’ onward travel
  • On rare occasions, room cleaning work (may be requested during busy season)

  • Ordinary car first class driver’s license (for transportation to and from the suburbs)

RESERVATIONS (Winter Seasonal / Fulltime)

Employment Conditions

Employment period: November 2024 up to ~March 2025

Hourly wage: 1500 yen

Working hours: 8 hours a day 30-40 hours a week

Working hours: Shift system 07:00-16:00 / 09:00-18:00 / 11:00-20:00 

  • Handle incoming reservation via email, voice calls, travel agents, and website, and feeds the data in the system correspondingly
  • Monitors daily availability and occupancy
  • Answers all phone inquiries
  • Double check all reservations and update if necessary
  • Management of same-day reservations
  • Other tasks that may be ask by your manager

  • Room inspection (room cleaning is outsourced)
  • Cleaning of common spaces and public areas
  • Most of the work is managed because room cleaning is basically outsourced.

Business content

  • Mainly snow removal including roof and other high places (manual work or by machine or snowplough)

  • Support for other departments depending on the situation (shuttle pick-up/drop-off)

  • Those who are confident in their physical strength are welcome

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure proper operation of all responsibilities of Reservations.
  • To take and maintain up-to-date accurate reservation records, including records of any advance bookings and any cancellations.
  • To handle telephone calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently, always ensure that relevant standards and procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the regular site maintenance, general repairs, snow removal, lawn mowing and safety management.
  • Arrangement and coordination with vendors and contractors including emergency response and communication with the operations team, tenants, and other parties.
  • Inspection and assessment of the building to ensure safety and for prevention of any potential risk to tenants of the property.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.

General Requirements:

  • Experience in a property maintenance management is a plus.

HOUSEKEEPING OFFICER

  • Report maintenance issues to designated department.
  • Report all lost and found items.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish and promote hotel brand.
